Wildwood Restaurant Week

Following the lead of Atlantic City, Cape May and Ocean City, Wildwood (aka The DooWop Capital of the World) is having its own Restaurant Week from August 30th to September 4th. During the week, participating restaurants will be serving four courses for $25 a person. I’ve been wanting to post about this for a while now, but had to wait until I knew the restaurants that would be participating. And here they are:

Alfe’s – 3401 New Jersey Avenue. 609.729.5755.
Blue Water Grill (at The Bolero Hotel and Resort) – 3320 Atlantic Avenue. 609.522.0303.
Boathouse – 506 West Rio Grande Avenue. 609.729.5301.
Crab Island – 2600 Park Boulevard. 609.522.9339.
Dragon House – 3616 Pacific Avenue. 609.522.2320.
Gia – 3001 Pacific Avenue. 609.729.5959.
Ice House – 4415 Park Boulevard. 609.522.0033.
Jersey Girl – Schellenger and Atlantic Avenues. 609.523.1800.
Juan Pablo’s – Garfield and Pacific Avenues. 609.729.6500.
La Piazza Cucina – 4600 Pacific Avenue. 609.522.8300.
Neil’s Steak & Chowder House – 222 East Schellenger Avenue. 609.522.5226.
Ravioli House – 102 East Bennett Avenue. 609.522.7894.
Schellenger’s – 3516 Atlantic Avenue. 609.522.0433.
Urie’s Waterfront Restaurant – 588 West Rio Grande Avenue. 609.522.4189.

It’s a mixed bag of places: lots of Italian restaurants, some old stand-bys and a few newer intriguing places, like Jersey Girl and Ice House. If you’re going to be in the Wildwood area that week enjoying the last gasps of summer down the shore, it’s not a bad way to try a new place or enjoy a favorite old place.
