  1. unreal!!! The chowders that won were all awful except for stefano's red chowder, and their white. I didnt even see Ed Hitzel taste a soup. Sweet jenny's should have earned an award however they fell short SOMEHOW? I think the ballots should be watched a little more closely. the awards that were presented today did not reflect what the general public raved about.!!!

  2. I have to disagree with anonymous. The chowders that won were not awful, by any means. Actually, Stefano's tasted like oregano and strong italian seasoning. They didn't really deserve to be Grand Champions, however the others that placed were outstanding! What a great event! Per my palate, the winners were pretty much right on.

  3. By the way, there was a camera on the balloting the entire time. How much more closely does Anonymous think the ballots should be watched?

  4. Hi Jenn,Awful is a strong word I agree. The ballots did have cameras on them but there was confusion because the ballot boxes were not in the same order as the booths. I heard people say I liked the third booth and dropped in the third box not realizing it was a different restaurant. Not everyone goes by the name…That was my point.
