Look, here’s the thing…
The Phillies and the Yankees are battling it out in the World Series, so if today’s Friday Foodstuffs post seems a little on the, erm, light side, please understand.
What I will not shortchange is the fact that Catelli Restaurant in Voorhees is celebrating their 15th anniversary. While we read of a number of restaurants that have closed their doors this year due to the economy, it’s great to see well-regarded places like Catelli’s continue to move forward.
To celebrate their anniversary, Catelli’s will have special anniversay menu which will offer a number of their most-enjoyed entrees at $15. Those will include: osso buco, veal short ribs, rigatoni bolognese, and lamb milanese. In addition to the anniversary menu, there will be weekly specials. For the first week of November (11/1-7), every diner at the restaurant will receive a $15 gift certificate that can be used at a later date. Pretty nice, eh? For the rest of the month, Catelli’s will announce their weekly specials on twitter at @catellivoorhees. FYI – Lisa, the woman who handles their twitter updates is very nice and will be happy to answer any questions you have.
It’s a pretty quiet Festivals of Food weekend…for the adults, that is. I’m sure the kiddies can’t wait for Saturday and Halloween! There is the Harvest for Hunger event taking place tonight at Collingswood Grand Ballroom. This is an annual event to help support Cathedral Kitchen and all the good work they do.
Tonight is also the night that Penang in Maple Shade has its monthly Sampling Party. If you’ve ever wanted to try Malaysian and Thai cuisines, it’s not a bad way to get your feet wet.
In the classroom, In The Kitchen Cooking School in Haddonfield is having a Family Workshop on Halloween Favorites today.
The new For Your Dining Pleasure and Cook Learn Eat! lists for November should be out sometime over the weekend.
Have a fun Trick to Treat weekend, don’t forget to set your clocks back, and GO PHILLIES!!!
