Well, it’s official folks-we are in the winter doldrums. But so what? I mean, with the snow and sleet coming this weekend, what better excuse is there to stay indoors, eat, drink, and be merry? And of course, we always list your options:
Tonight, Haddon Heights wraps up its Taste of the Town at participating restaurants (3 courses for $25).
Saturday has the Winter Craft Beer Fest at the High Street Grill in Mount Holly, so there’s your drinking taken care of. There’s the Slow Food South Jersey Shore Winter Fest at The Washington Inn in Cape May, for your eating pleasure.
…Or you can stay inside and cook. Here’s your cooking class schedule for the week:
Sunday: Cookie Workshop, Elegant Dinner Party and Best of Class: Girls’ Night Out at Viking Cooking School; Kids and Teens Chocolate Workshop at Sur La Table; Kids in the Kitchen: Breakfast for Dinner at Kitchen Kapers.

The Third Annual Food Bank of South Jersey Mac Off was another stellar success-and, yes, that adorable little imp enjoying her share in the article belongs to us.
And in the news this week…
We say “yahoo!” to NJ wineries being allowed direct shipping!
The Millville Kiwanis are sponsoring the 4-H Favorite Food Show, which actually includes a table setting contest.
Finalists have been chosen for Vineland’s “Sandwich of the Year”.
Have a great weekend!
