I’m going to cut to the chase here: there are three dining events this week that will allow you to put your $0.02 cents towards important causes.
Wednesday night, from 5PM to 9PM, Silver Diner in Cherry Hill will allow you to Dine to Donate! On that night, 10% of your check will be given to Autism Speaks. In the past, I have mentioned that our son was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome and we are so appreciative for all of the programs now available for children on the autism spectrum. Autism Speaks is an advocacy group that helps to fund research into the causes and treatment of autism.
That same night, on the other side of the state, the Southern Ocean Chamber of Commerce will have its annual Taste of Southern Ocean County Hunger Relief Dinner at the Sea Oaks Country Club in Little Egg Harbor. The theme will be ‘Boardwalk Dynasty’, tapping into the whole Boardwalk Empire vibe. The fun starts at 5:30PM, and tickets are $125 each.Proceeds will go towards local food banks in Southern Ocean County.
And on Thursday, it is the annual Dining Out for Life night, with restaurants in Philadelphia, South Jersey, and the Delaware Valley region participating. Restaurants such as Cafe Gallery in Burlington, The Pop Shop in Collingswood and Marlene Mangia Bene in Woodbury will be donating 33% of the cost of your meal towards AIDS research.
