Eating, Drinking and Cooking in South Jersey This Weekend (7/6-8)

Catching a breather from all of the heat, fireworks, not  to mention all the folks still without power (hope relief comes soon), this weekend is on the quiet side. And so, we’ll take a peak into next week as well to see what’s going on food-wise.

Missed the big blueberry festivals? Still got your chance. This Saturday at Mood’s Farm Market in Mullica Hill is their annual Blueberry Festival from 10AM to 3PM. Admission is free, and there is a blueberry dessert contest, so bring your blueberry best.

Starting on Tuesday, it’s the Ocean County Fair at Miller Air Park on Route 530 in Berkeley Township. I can just taste the fried Oreos now.

Then on Wednesday, it is the one and only Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Italian Festival in Hammonton. It is the 137th consecutive year for the festival, making it the oldest in the country. Amazing.

If you care to venture our of South Jersey…

Pig roast and bluegrass music? Absolutely! The Front Porch Bluegrass Festival & Pig Roast in Chester will be happening on Saturday from 10AM to 8PM.
