A Just Peachy Presser Tomorrow

The Just Peachy Salsa project, a partnership with Campbell’s and The Food Bank of South Jersey, has more exciting news to lay on us for the holiday season. A news conference will be held tomorrow (Thursday) with all the info. Here’s the lowdown on what’s taking place:

Food Bank’s Environmentally Friendly Food Salvage Plan Praised by Local Legislators

The Food Bank of South Jersey will host a press conference to discuss the holiday season rollout of their “Just Peachy Salsa,” a product made from salvaged NJ peaches manufactured in New Jersey and distributed in New Jersey. Legislative attendees will be: Congressman Rob Andrews, Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald, Pennsauken Mayor John Kneib and Cherry Hill Mayor Chuck Cahn, NJ Secretary of Agriculture Douglas Fisher. Representatives from Campell Soup Company will be on hand along with one of the NJ Peach farmers who donated the salvaged peaches

A salvage project spotlighting fresh Jersey peaches sold on the retail market is the first of its kind in the country. Traore will discuss the environmentally friendly program which links NJ farmers to NJ businesses and whose proceeds benefit this NJ charity.
