I think of Thanksgiving as a holiday best celebrated at home. For many this year in our area, however, they will not have a home in which to celebrate. For those of you in this situation, we hope you can find a place to enjoy a good meal, good company, and be able to give thanks for the things you still do have. Here is a list of some places in South Jersey where you can dine and/or order out for Thanksgiving (a list I will update and update…and update…):
Under The Moon Cafe in Bordentown will have a special Thanksgiving Day menu available on Turkey Day.
At Salem City Cafe, there a Thanksgiving dinner buffet for $21.95 per person, but even before Turkey Day there will be Thanksgiving Eve Party with music and drinks!
Feel left out as a vegan on Turkey Day? Tortilla Press Cantina in Merchantville will be having a Vegetarian and Vegan Thanksgiving dinner on November 15.
Thanksgiving dinner will be served at High Street Grill in Mount Holly from 2PM to 6PM on Turkey Day. A prix fixe holiday dinner as well as an a la carte menu will be available.
Two options are available for Thanksgiving at Adelphia in Deptford: a family-style dinner for $28.95 a person ($14.95 for kids under 12), and a buffet dinner for $29.95 ($16.95 for kids).
You can also find two options for a holiday meal at The Madison in Riverside. The buffet will be open from 1PM to 5PM for $34.95, and the a la carte menu will be available from 2PM to 6:30PM for $39.95.
Maybe you just want a Turkey Day buffet (and you’re allowed to think that). The Riverview Inn in Pennsville will be having a buffet from 1PM to 7PM.
Heading to Atlantic City for Thanksgiving? Check out the restaurants at Borgata and what they will be serving up on Turkey Day for only $29 a person. Yum!
Right close by to AC is Ram’s Head Inn in Galloway which will have its own special Turkey Day menu available from 12PM to 8PM. Also close by, Luke Palladino’s place in Nortfield will have a special menu available for $38 per peson.
Just want the right ingredients? There are still places where you can place your orders, like at Duffield’s Farm in Sewell where you can still get your turkey, pies, cakes and rolls. At Bistro di Marino in Collingswood, they will supply you will all the good sides to go along with your turkey. Holiday pies and organic turkeys can still be ordered at New Dodges Market in Elmer through November 16. Orders can also be placed at The German Butcher in Forked River.
Got more to mention…
In Ocean County, you still have time this week to order your Thanksgiving feast from Serenity Cafe in Toms River. Only take out is available for Turkey Day; they will be closed on the holiday. Europa South in Point Pleasant Beach will have take out and sit down packages available for Thanksgiving, so check out which one works for you. Baker’s Water Street in Toms River will be serving Thanksgiving dinner as well.
