I don’t what you will choose to do this weekend, but I know one thing that we will be doing: celebrating the birthdays of our little young’uns. My, how the time flies. Now don’t feel bad if you didn’t get an invite to their party; we just have limited space at the house.
For the rest of you, there are a number of fun little foodie things to do to occupy your time, such as…
…the rescheduled Jersey Shore Restaurant Week! From November 30 to Decemer 9, enjoy a 3-course meal at a participating restaurant in Ocean and Monmouth counties for $20.12 or $30.12.
Barbera’s Chocolate on Occasion in Vineland is having their Holiday Open House this weekend, where you can try free samples as well as enjoy their chocolate fountain and other tasty stuff.
Friday night is Bellview Winery’s Wine-ing Against Cancer event for $35 a person at the door.
On Saturday, you have the annual Oyster Supper at Lavallette Firehouse from 4PM to 8PM, and as far as I know it’s still happening.
Sunday’s offerings include the Manna at the Shore event at Congregation Beth Israel in Northfield, The Great Stout Bout at The Pour House in Westmont, and the beginning of the Cape May Dickens Christmas Extravaganza, which is $150 a person for three days of food and entertainment.
And on Monday, it is the annual Great Cookie Exchange at Cape May Elementary School.
If you care to venture out of South Jersey this weekend…
It’s the Philadelphia Winter Beer Festival at The Blockley on Chestnut Street this Saturday. Tickets are $40 at the door. Is it me, or does Philly have a beer festival like every other week?
Here’s your cooking class schedule for the weekend:
Friday: Tuscan Holiday at Sur la Table in Marlton.
Sunday: Gingerbread House Workshop and Sicilian Feast of the Seven Fishes at Viking Cooking School, Holiday Chocolate and Truffles at Sur la Table, and Holiday Fun Class at The Cake Boutique in Mullica Hill
