Sure, you can think that this is the time of year for presents, egg nog and the like…but once you’ve discovered the glory that is the Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve, all that other holiday stuff seems so trivial. OK, maybe that’s overstating it a bit….sort of.
Anyways, if you’re not looking to have your kitchen stink of fried fish (not the worst stink, by the way), there are a number of restaurants that are offering the Feast to you. Let’s take a look at some of the options, shall we?
Let’s cut to the chase and get right to Haddon Avenue in Collingswood. You have three options right close to each other: That’s Amore, Nunzio’s and Blackbird. That’s Amore is having a Christmas Eve 7 Fishes Buffet, Nunzio’s is offering their Christmas Eve Seven Fish Dinner for $55 per person, and the family-style dinner will include such items as calamari dorati, fried smelts, and baccala Sicilian style. And then there’s Blackbird with its own Feast of The Seven Fishes menu (also for $55 a person) with marinated white anchovies and homemade linguini served with tuna and jumbo lump crab.
Over in Cherry Hill, Andreotti’s is once again having their Feast on Christmas Eve. The cost only $39 per person. If you want to bring the goodness home instead, they will make you the Feast to go for 10 people for $209.
Bringing the goodness home is what Bacio Catering in Moorestown is all about for Christmas Eve as well. Check their menu to create your own Feast.
Staying in Burlington County, Casamari in Burlington will have its Seven Fishes menu available from December 17 to 24. The menu includes smoked salmon, baccala and seafood risotto. Then there’s Scaturro’s in Marlton, which will be offering its Traditional Seven Fishes menu starting at 4PM.
Heading down Jersey, you got Terra Nova in Sewell having a Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner on Christmas Eve for $40 per person, Adelphia Restaurant & Bar in Deptford will have their feast on Christmas Eve for $34.95 per person, and DiPaolo’s Italian Ristorante in Penns Grove is having its annual 7-Fish Dinner Buffet starting at 5PM for $35 per person.
The Greenville Inn at Eastlyn in East Vineland is serving up a Buono Family Seven Fishes Dinner on December 16 and 23. The menu looks quite inviting.
And finally, down the shore, you can DO AC and DO FEAST. Luke Palladino will be serving his version of the Feast at his Northfield location from December 20 to 24. THAT menu looks really inviting, too. There will be fish feasting going on at Lugo Cucina e Vino at Revel as well.
AND…Tuckahoe Inn is offering a Feast of the Seven Seas dinner on December 23 from 4PM to 9PM for $20 a person.
If I come across any more, I will pass the savings on to you.
