Easter Eats 2013 in South Jersey

So it’s late Wednesday night and 552157_548229745198788_1921802264_nyou’re still trying to come up with a plan for Easter. Don’t worry: every other restaurant in South Jersey will be doing some kind of brunch or dinner for Sunday. Here are twelve ideas for you:

Heading down to Atlantic City for the weekend? Luke Palladino will be having a prix-fixe dinner at his Harrah’s location as well as his little eatery in Northfield. The menus for each location will be different, so take a look at them both here and decide for yourself. Either way you’ll be eating well.

Down Cape May way, you can’t beat The Mad Batter for a Sunday brunch. And yes, you can do brunch this Easter Sunday – BUT, check out their special Easter dinner menu that will be served from 4PM to 8:30PM for only $30 a person.

If you’re looking at Collingswood, you have plenty of choices for Sunday. Consider these two: Blackbird and Casona. Blackbird will be serving up a special brunch menu from 10:30AM to 2PM, and the menu includes House made potato gnocchi, beef short ribs with carmelized onions, and a vineayrd snail appetizer. Meanwhile. Casona has been racking up the accolades for their Sunday brunch, so maybe this Sunday is the day to give them a try. They will have specials availabke along with their regular brunch menu.

Just down the road in Westmont, Keg & Kitchen will be serving their own Easter brunch from 10:30AM to 3PM.

For Sunday brunch, I can’t think of a more quaint location than Robin’s Nest Restaurant in Mount Holly. For Easter Sunday they will have seatings for brunch at 9AM, 10:30AM, 12PM and 1:30PM. The cost is $24.95 per person and $12.95 for kids ages 10 and under. Just down the road, High Street Grill will have a champagne brunch as well as a special dinner menu. Check out both menus here.

Out in Salem County, Salem City Cafe will also be serving brunch and dinner for Easter. Thge brunch includes a ham crving station, an omelette station, and an Easter candy bar for the kids (and maybe for the adults as well). The candy bar as well as other carving stations will be available for dinner as well.

Omelette and waffle stations, as well as carving stations, will be part of the brunch festivities going on at The Serenity Cafe in Toms River on Sunday. Brunch will be served from 11:30AM to 1:30PM. Reservations as required, so call ahead!

For some newer locations, check out…

Latz’s By the Bay in Somers Point, which will be serving Easter brunch from 10AM to 3PM. They will also be serving Easter Tea from Thursday through Saturday in their Tea at the Top room.

Top Notch in Medford, which will have brucnh service from 10AM to 3PM and dinner from 4PM to 8PM.

And, The Runaway Chefs in Millville, which has a really interesting menu for Easter. The beer cheese soup with spicy pocporn appetizer sounds intriguing.
