This Thursday, Slow Food South Jersey and Cape May Forum give you a little taste of early spring with a farm-to-table dinner at Congress Hall in Cape May. And they have some good partners helping them put the dinner together. The food will be sourced from Beach Plum Farms in Cape May, JAH’s Creation Organic Farm in Egg Harbor Twp, and other local places. A raw bar with Cape May salts will be provided by Atlantic Fisheries. And in the kitchen preparing the meal will be Chef Jeremy Einhorn, executive chef of Congress Hall.
The menu for the evening includes the following:
* Beach Plum Farm Root Vegetable Chowder
* JAH’s Creation’s Raw Farm Salad
* local fish
* Pan-seared chicken
* Shepherd’s Pie
* Vegetarian portabella mushroom
The entrees will be accompanied by vegetables from JAH’s Creation. A glass of wine from a local winery will be part of the dinner as well.
Dinner begins at 6PM, and the cost for the dinner is $60 per person. The process go towards supporting both Slow Food South Jersey Shore and Cape May Forum.
